COUNTY OFFERS FREE RESOURCES TO DEAL WITH PANDEMIC STRESS

Businesses, parents, seniors, all of us have felt coronavirus-related stress on some level. Such stress can bring on fear, anxiety, and other common emotions. The county offers free resources for dealing with these issues. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us how to access those resources…

The County’s Department of Behavioral Health, or DBH, has a free, confidential crisis hotline at 760-956-2345. The line is staffed from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

A DBH wellness web page is devoted to helping those suffering from virus-related worry and anxiety. It offers effective coping suggestions such as the value of being prepared, maintaining a healthy diet and sleep habits, keeping calm, and other coping strategies.
