In a consent agenda item in its May 19 meeting, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors gave the go-ahead on a road project in Joshua Tree. The Supervisors authorized staff to apply for a Caltrans grant to widen a major artery in Joshua Tree, and to build a bicycle path alongside it. The improvements would be made on Sunburst, between Route 62 and Calle Los Amigos, which is where Joshua Tree Elementary School is. The grant application will be for about $1.1 million.
