COUNTY FIRE BATTALION CHIEF SCOTT TUTTLE PROMOTED TO ASSISTANT CHIEF

A Yucca Valley-based County Fire Battalion Chief has been promoted to Assistant Chief for the South Desert. County Fire Chief Dan Munsey made the promotion announcement for Scott Tuttle yesterday (October 14).

Assistant Chief Tuttle began his career with the San Bernardino County Fire Department in 1994 as a firefighter/paramedic. Tuttle progressed through the ranks, promoting to captain in 2007 and battalion chief in 2015. Tuttle has managed the department’s Hazardous Materials Team since 2015. Tuttle has an Associate of Science Degree in Fire Technology and is a State Fire Marshall certified Fire Officer. Assistant Chief Scott Tuttle lives in Yucca Valley with his wife Lori. Their daughter Madison, a former Miss Yucca Valley, is a sophomore at San Diego State University. Tuttle is also a member of the Twentynine Palms Rotary Club.
