COUNTY ELECTION WORKERS CONTINUE TO COUNT BALLOTS

Election day may be over, but county election workers continue working daily to process ballots for counting. At the end of day Wednesday, November 4, more than 490,000 ballots had already been processed and counted, which is 44% of the 1.1 million registered voters in San Bernardino County. Mail ballots, provisional and conditional ballots, and others remain to be processed.

Per new state legislation for this election, the county registrar’s office will accept ballots through November 20 that were mailed and postmarked by November 3. The registrar appreciates the public’s patience as it continues processing and counting ballots.

By law, the county registrar must certify this election by December 1. Ballots are being counted at the Registrar of Voters offices daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until all ballots are counted. Daily election result updates are posted on the ROV website at 4 p.m. To see the latest election results updated each weekday at 4 p.m., go to www.SBCountyElections.com.
