The number of reported Coronavirus cases in San Bernardino County has increased 39% compared to last week. According to new county data released yesterday (June 28), The county reported 383 new infections in the past seven days, an increase from 313 last week. Most Coronavirus restrictions in California were lifted on June 15 when the state officially reopened from the pandemic. The county also saw a 14% increase in Coronavirus deaths, bringing the total to 4,679 countywide, and a 24% drop in distributed vaccine doses. Nearly 930,000 San Bernardino County residents have received at least one vaccine dose, while nearly 800,000 residents are fully vaccinated.
As of this morning (June 29), the county Coronavirus dashboard reported vaccination rates in the Morongo Basin at 40.4% in Joshua Tree, 28.5% in Landers, 41.8% in Morongo Valley, 91.6% in Pioneertown, 22% in Twentynine Palms, and 50.9% in Yucca Valley.
