Government agencies and eligible non-profit organizations get first dibs on tax-defaulted properties before the county puts them on the auction block. It is an edge that one local water agency aims to put to their advantage. Reporter Mike Lipsitz is here to fill us in…
Among the items up for consideration at tomorrow’s 10 a.m. meeting of county supervisors in San Bernardino is the likely approval of a $9,000 sale for two tax-defaulted properties to the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency. The parcels are undeveloped. One is a two-acre site to be used for a planned future water storage reservoir; the other is five acres and will be used for system integration. Tomorrow’s meeting streams online and to the first-floor teleconferencing room in the County Government Center on White Feather Road in Joshua Tree where the public is welcome to participate.
