County conducting short term rental study, asking for resident’s input

San Bernardino County is conducting a study about the impact of short term vacation rentals, and is asking for your input. The County’s Housing Element announced yesterday (July 20) that they will undertake the study, which is planned to evaluate the impact of vacation rentals on the county’s long-term rental housing market in both the desert and mountain areas of the county.

There will be four open community forums where members of the public can share their concerns directly with county representatives, including one scheduled for the Joshua Tree Community Center on the afternoon of August 24.

If you’re unable to attend the meetings in person, the county is accepting comments via email below – If you cannot attend and have questions or need additional information, please e-mail [email protected].

Please be sure to put “STR Study Comments” in the subject line of your email.
