COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO HEAR OF ROAD IMPROVEMENTS FOR JOSHUA TREE

At tomorrow’s 10 a.m. meeting of the County Board of Supervisors in San Bernardino, the board is expected to consider several items relevant to our Morongo Basin. Among them is the likely approval of $1.4 million for pavement reconstruction on Joshua Tree’s Park Boulevard, from Alta Loma Drive north to Highway 62. Supervisors will also transfer some trucks and equipment to the Bighorn Desert View Water Agency. That action because the items belong to the people of Landers formerly served by County Special Districts Water. Some additional items involve contract tidy-ups with Hi-Desert Medical Center and consideration of some very preliminary studies for possible future repaving projects. Tomorrow’s meeting, and every Board of Supervisor’s meeting, streams online and to the first floor teleconferencing room in the County Government Center on White Feather Road in Joshua Tree where public comment can be made via live video link.
