At tomorrow’s (March 29) 10 a.m. meeting of County Supervisors in San Bernardino, the board will take up the issue of wastewater treatment in Twentynine Palms. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us more about the issue and about how much it’s going to cost…
If all goes as expected, the board will extend the current contract to provide preventative maintenance and support services for Twentynine Palms’ newly constructed sewer collection system, increasing the contract amount from $64,000 to $200,000, and extending the term through March 2024. Twentynine Palms contracts these services from the County because the City lacks staff with the requisite certifications and experience needed to satisfy government regulations.
Tomorrow’s meeting will be live-streamed to the video conferencing facility at the Bob Burke Government Center in Joshua Tree where the public may attend and comment.
