COUNTY APPROVES LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS

Morongo Basin drivers did well at yesterday’s meeting of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. That due to approval of a handful of “Pavement Preservation and Rehabilitation Projects.” The County Department of Public Works is expected to begin applying chip seal and other improvements on several roads. Slated for improvement is Yucca Trail from La Contenta east and continuing on Alta Loma to Quail Springs, then south on Quail Springs to the National Park entrance in Joshua Tree. On the Mesa, Aberdeen will be chip sealed from Highway 247 to Warren Vista. Work is expected to get underway this spring and will be paid from federal, state and county sources.
