Yucca Valley’s free summer music festival continues this Saturday, July 18 with Southern California’s own Nitro Express. Typically billed as a country rock band, Nitro Express has influences ranging from Bakersfield to Liverpool, Nashville to London, Texas to Chicago, and points in between. Country, classic or southern rock, blues, bluegrass, R&B, surf music, Motown, and even reggae are some of the elements of their unique sound. Four strong vocalists, superb harmonies, virtuoso musicianship, and a strong beat make this one of SoCal’s most entertaining acts. Catch this free concert at the Yucca Valley Community Center ball field. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. The music gets cranking at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. Bring a blanket and lawn chair and enjoy the show. All ages are welcome.
