A Costa Mesa man who said he was looking for a place to sleep crashed his vehicle into the Joshua Tree court house Sunday. According to the California Highway Patrol, Warren Baugh, 33, intentionally drove his silver Ford Freestyle into the front door of the court house sometime Sunday. He then left his car there and walked over to the adjacent CHP office, where he was found at 5:45 a.m. Sunday morning. Other than saying he was looking for a place to sleep, Baugh refused to answer any questions about why he drove into the court house. Warren Baugh was arrested for investigation of felony vandalism, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
