The coroner’s office has identified the man whose body was found just feet away from his car parked alongside the highway in Morongo Valley last Friday. Jesus Chavez, 55, of Fontana, was found by his boss about 10:30 a.m. Friday after a friend notified him that Chavez’s car was parked near T-Circle Drive in Morongo Valley. CHP had tagged the vehicle on Tuesday, November 27. Deputies believe that Chavez had a medical problem, stopped his car, got out and collapsed about 10 feet away. There is nothing to indicate foul play.
