COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE SEEKING GREENLEAF SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS

The Roy Greenleaf Jr. Scholarship application is now available for local high school students. Each spring, the Copper Mountain College foundation chooses a student to receive the full-ride scholarship that pays tuition fees, books, and living expenses; and all graduating seniors in the Morongo Basin are encouraged to apply. Applications for the Greenleaf scholarship at Copper Mountain College are now available for high school seniors. The scholarship is open to all students who possess a strong determination to succeed, a demonstrated desire to help others, and who plan to return to the Morongo Basin after graduation. Students must attend their first two years at CMC and complete their Bachelor’s degree at any four-year California or Cal State University. Applications are due by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. For more information or for an application, talk with your high school counselor or visit the link below.

Yucca Valley High School graduate Tim Estes was awarded the scholarship in 2014 and is considered a scholarship success story by the Copper Mountain College Foundation. After two years at CMC, Estes pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Statistical Science at the University of California Santa Barbara, graduating in 2019 with honors. He currently works as a data engineer in Southern California.
