COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE PLANS EARTH DAY ACTIVITIES NEXT WEEK

Copper Mountain College plans a variety of activities leading up to Earth Day, April 22. Students with Abilities will host a Recycling Drive the week of April 8. Student art projects on April 8 and 12 include Plein Air Drawing. And on Tuesday, April 9, gather for a Tailgate Party from noon to 2 with live music from the Sibleys’ Desert Rock Band. Wednesday morning from 8 to 9 is a Tortoise Preserve Nature Walk. On April 11, experts from Defenders of Wildlife and the National Park will speak on Desert Conservation and Biodiversity from noon to 2 p.m. in Art Room 401. And on April 12, an educational specialist from the national park will speak from 11 to noon in CMC Phase I Room 108. All events are free and open to the public.
