COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE NAMES INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT/PRESIDENT

During its regular monthly board meeting yesterday, the Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees appointed an interim Superintendent/President to take the place of Dr. Roger Wagner, who has resigned to accept the Superintendent/President position at Victor Valley College. Jeff Cummings, the executive dean of academic affairs at College of the Redwoods, in Eureka, will take over as president/superintendent at CMC effective July 21. The interim position is expected to last through July 2015. The Board of Trustees will now begin its search for a permanent superintendent/president, which it expects to fill by July 1 of next year. Cummings’ background includes positions as dean and vice president at College of the Siskiyous, at the base of Mount Shasta in Weed, California.
