Through a partnership with the Firehouse Subs Safety Foundation, the Copper Mountain College Foundation has been awarded a grant of $17,260. The funding will allow the CMC foundation to purchase lifesaving firefighting equipment, which will be used to provide quality training for small, rural, volunteer fire departments. Representatives from the Firehouse Subs Safety Foundation will give the check to CMC foundation members, and demonstrate the new life-saving equipment, at an in-person event Wednesday (August 25) at 4 p.m. at the Firehouse Subs location in Yucca Valley (58709 Twentynine Palms Hwy, Suite E). The public is invited to attend the event.
