What has become a holiday season tradition will be held this Sunday at Copper Mountain College. Reporter Mike Lipsitz invites you to the Festival of Wreaths…
For many, the Copper Mountain College Foundation Festival of Wreaths event signals the Basin’s start of the holiday season. This year’s seventh annual Festival of Wreaths, which raises funds for CMC students, is at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 20 in the Bell Center at Copper Mountain College. The afternoon includes both live and silent auctions, a wreath raffle, balloting for a People’s Choice wreath, entertainment and holiday treats. Larry Bowden will lead the live auction of one-of-a-kind wreaths from more than 30 local businesses, service clubs and individuals. Many include gift certificates, cash, trinkets, art, and even Mikal Winn jewelry. Each $10 ticket includes two drinks and tiny comestibles. Tickets available at the Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley chambers of commerce and the CMC Foundation Office, or call 760.366.3791 ext 4200.
