Copper Mountain College continues commencement ceremonies this week

CMC student Harmony Hill, from Twentynine Palms, is graduating with an associate degree in psychology and another associate degree in social and behavioral science. She is the Honor Graduate Speaker for the 2023 Commencement Ceremony. Her grandmother, Pamela Holmes will be joining her for Commencement as she receives her associate degree in sociology. Holmes will be attending California State University San Bernardino this fall, and Hill will be attending Duke.

Copper Mountain continues its commencement ceremonies this week, as 232 students celebrate the conclusion of their education at the high-desert’s institute of higher learning. 

Last Friday, the school held it’s The Lavender Graduation ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of CMC’s LGBTQ+ students.

A Pinning Ceremony Vocational Nursing Program Class of 2023 on Wednesday, May 24 at 6 p.m. in the Gymnasium at the Bell Center on the CMC campus.

Copper Mountain College’s Commencement Ceremony for all 2023 graduates will be held Thursday, May 25, at 5:45 in the Bell Center Gymnasium on the CMC campus in Joshua Tree. CMC has a total of 232 eligible graduates from Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters. Harmony Hill will be the Honor Graduate Speaker. Harmony was born and raised in Twentynine Palms and is graduating with an associate degree in psychology and another associate degree in social and behavioral science as a concurrent enrollment student. This fall, Harmony will be attending Duke University for Economics.

Copper Mountain College’s Adult Education Program is hosting its Adult Education Graduation Celebration on Friday May 26 at 6 p.m. in the Bell Center Community Room on the CMC campus. A total of 24 students completed the program this year, with 20 walking in the ceremony.
