The Copper Mountain Community College Board of trustees met in their regular meeting yesterday. Reporter Eric Knabe has the details…
The open session started with Liz Meyer’s announcement that the board will hire the consulting group PPL Inc., to assist in the search for the new superintendent, and that they have scheduled a special open meeting next Wednesday to work out the contract. The 2018 slate of officers was dissolved, and through a quick election, the board was reorganized, with Gregg Gilbert voted president, Dick Rodgers as vice president, and Eva Kinsman, board secretary. Superintendent/President Jeff Cummings reported that the final draft of the self-evaluation report, that is required for accreditation, is now available on the CMC website. And there was a first reading of a proposed reorganization of the district's management structure that better aligns with the Guided Pathways Framework.
