The October meeting of the Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees will begin in closed session and deal with the negotiations of a number of contracts. The board then will reconvene to open session for updates on the Brown Act, accreditation and redistricting. Then the board will be asked to approve Superintendent/President Jeff Cumming’s contract, which was tabled from the meeting in June. And then up for approval will be the CMC Faculty Association and California School Employees Association tentative agreements. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. on October 11 and will be held in the community room of the Bell Center on the Copper Mountain College campus in Joshua Tree.
