The board’s meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. with a closed session to confer with labor negotiators and with attorneys over anticipated litigation due to a bid deficiency. They will then reconvene at 3 p.m. to open session. Following regular reports and information items, the trustees will consider a policy about weapons on campus and a policy about where, when, and how students may exercise their free speech on campus. The board will also be asked to approved of a bid for the Bell Center Gymnasium bleachers and the approval of the contracts of two athletic trainers. Tomorrow’s meeting takes place in the Bell Center’s Community Room on the Joshua Tree campus.
