Following a 1:30 p.m. study session, the Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees convenes in regular open session at 3:00 tomorrow in the Bell Center’s Community Room on the Joshua Tree campus. Among action items on the agenda, trustees will consider an agreement between the Red Cross and the college allowing the Red Cross use of the facility as an emergency shelter during a disaster. CMC has had such an agreement with the Red Cross in the past and, in light of the recent use as an evacuation shelter during the Lake Fire, is taking the opportunity to update this agreement. Also tomorrow, trustees will consider several new contracts and renewals heading in to the fall semester. At tomorrow’s 1:30 study session, the board will consider workshop topics for 2015-16, conduct a self-evaluation, and look at goal setting with Superintendent/ President Jeff Cummings.
