The Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees has planned a meeting trifecta today (March 11, 2021). The lineup starts at 2 p.m. with a board study session, followed by the regular trustee meeting at 2:30 p.m. and at 5 p.m. the college hosts a joint meeting with the Morongo Unified School District board. Here’s reporter Mike Lipsitz with more on this day where everyone is betting students are the real winners…
The 2 p.m. study session includes a mid-term review of the goals of the trustees as well as the president/superintendent. At 2:30 p.m. when trustees convene in regular session, they will review the board policy in support of telecommuting, look at the financial audit report for fiscal 2019-2020, and review a handful of other items that will bring the board right up to 5 p.m. and the opening of the twice-yearly joint meeting with board members of the school district. At this meeting the boards will discuss expansion of technical programs, dual enrollment, and the joint Integrity Project. At all three meetings, the public is invited to observe and participate via the Zoom platform. https://go.boarddocs.com/ca/cmccd/Board.nsf/goto?open&id=BYCSC966074E
