The Copper Mountain College men’s basketball team opens its season tonight (Friday, November 1) with the two-day Falcon Classic tournament in Folsom Lake. Last year, the men’s record was 15-13, and Folsom Lake was 11-17. Saturday’s game is against Cosumnes River, who was 17-13 last year.
The women’s Fighting Cacti basketball team opens its season tonight with a three-game tournament at Santa Barbara against Ohlone College. On Saturday, the women will take on Chaffey college, and will finish up against Butte College of Northern California. The women’s Fighting Cacti were 11-14 last year.
