The Copper Mountain Men’s Basketball team is ranked seventh in the state and improved to 11-2 on the year as they won last night 81-78 in the opening round of the 80th Annual Modesto Junior college Tournament against 12th ranked Yuba College. The Fighting Cacti will face the winner of Lassen College and Fresno City College tomorrow at 5 p.m. in the second round of the MJC tournament.
Jailen Moore Lead the Fighting Cacti with 16 points. Murshid Randle and Tre’Von Bentley both added 13 and Jaleel Simmons chipped in 11 points.
