The Copper Mountain College women’s basketball team took to the road Tuesday night for its final road contest of the 2017-18 regular season. The women played Santa Ana College, and lost, 91-27. Their final regular season game this season will be played in the Bell Center on Thursday starting at 5 p.m. against Orange Coast College.
Coach Hosie Ward said, “Although the team showed good energy and competed hard for most of the game, a poor shooting night and carelessness with the basketball saw us on the short end of a 91 – 27 final score. We shot only 20.5 percent from the field, while turning the ball over 27 times. We shot 80 percent from the free-throw line, but only got there 10 times on the night.”
Tusitusia Brown led with 15 points, seven rebounds, and five blocked shots.
