The Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees met yesterday in a special meeting. Reporter Eric Knabe has the details…
The CMC Board of Trustees met yesterday in a closed session to address a matter involving a permanent classified employee. After 20 minutes of deliberation Board President Liz Meyer presented a statement to the effect that they will be accepting the resignation of an employee and that said employee will agree to a global waiver and release and to waive the right to a hearing. In exchange the District agrees to pay a specific sum and to continue health insurance benefits through the end of the 2017/2018 academic year. The vote to approve was unanimous. Sources at Copper Mountain College told Z107.7 News that Zachary Ginder, the dean of instruction, announced on April 19 that he was resigning from the college. Meyer later stated that this will also provide the opportunity to review the position made vacant, to see if any changes need to be made to better address the needs of students, before hiring again.
