A new exhibit, “Convincing the Nation,” opened at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum this month and will remain on display through December 19. The exhibit includes archival material and artifacts, including more than 20 posters from World War II—to tell the story of the U.S. Government’s efforts to capture people’s attention during World War II. Public officials relied on posters and other large-scale publicity efforts to reach citizens with wartime messages and to influence and change public behavior. The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is located next to the Yucca Valley Community Center on Dumosa Avenue.
