In honor of the 50th anniversary since the start of the Vietnam War, Congressman Paul Cook honored 25 Vietnam veterans during his Heroes of the 8th ceremony November 13 in Apple Valley. Two local veterans—Edward Bates and Glenn Isaacs, both of Yucca Valley—were among those honored for their service and for their outstanding commitment to serving the community following their separation from the armed forces.
