2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the start of the Vietnam War. “Heroes of the 8th” takes place in Apple Valley next month to honor Vietnam veterans from the 8th Congressional District. Rep. Paul Cook is accepting nominations; forms are available at cook.house.gov/heroes. The deadline for submitting a nomination is October 16.
