CONGRESSMAN COOK PLANS MEETING MILITARY SERVICE ACADEMY HOPEFULS

Congressman Paul Cook of Yucca Valley will hold an informational session for students who are interested in attending one of the five U.S. military service academies. The meeting is set for Tuesday, September 18, at 7 p.m. in the Victorville City Hall Conference Room D, 14343 Civic Drive Victorville, CA 92392. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about the schools, and representatives from Cook’s office will be on hand to answer questions about requirements and qualifications to enter the service academies. High school seniors who live in Congressional District 8 and who are interested in attending the US Naval Academy, US Air Force Academy, US Military Academy, or the US Merchant Marine Academy in 2019 must submit a completed nomination packet to Cook’s office by December 4. Students interested in attending the US Coast Guard Academy do not need a congressional nomination.
