COMMUNITY PLAN WORKSHOPS: PIONEERTOWN, MORONGO VALLEY, AND LANDERS AREA

0

San Bernardino County is updating the Community Plans for several areas in Morongo Basin. Part of the larger “Countywide Plan,” the Community Plans serve the unincorporated areas much like the planning commissions serve Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms. Assignment reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us where those living in the unincorporated areas can get in on this second round of Community Plan Workshops this week…
In the first round of Community Plan workshops in September, county personnel met with residents in unincorporated communities. This month, they return for a second round entitled, “Our Roadmap to Making It Happen.” The workshops will focus on implementation strategies and tools to achieve the goals and objectives developed in the first round of meetings.
On Tuesday, November 15, county reps will meet residents of Pioneertown at 6 p.m. at the Pioneertown Motel.

Then on Wednesday, November 16, Morongo Valley residents will gather at 6 p.m. at Covington Park in the CSD Building’s Senior Nutrition Room.
And on Thursday, November 17, county reps will meet residents of the Homestead Valley Communities including Landers, Flamingo Heights, Yucca Mesa and Johnson Valley starting at 6 p.m. at the Yucca Mesa Community Center at 3133 Balsa Ave. on the Mesa.
