Community Garden coming to Joshua Tree every Sunday

1

Mil-Tree is creating a community vegetable garden at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center. The garden is being created with the low water of the high desert in mind – creating individual container gardens along with larger “wicking beds” – which are self-contained raised garden beds that are ideal for growing in arid desert environments.

Garden activities start October 1st and continue every Sunday from 1 to 4 pm throughout October and into Fall and Winter.

Mil-Tree is an inclusive veteran-led nonprofit based in Joshua Tree, California and has been supporting veterans since 2013. You can learn more about Mil-Tree and the community gardens at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center at mil-tree.org
