The Morongo Basin Community Emergency Response Team will hold a disaster preparedness day in conjunction with the Great American Shake-Out, on Saturday, October 15. CERT and other organizations will have free information and demonstrations on water purification and storage, survival skills, animal care, basic first aid, and much more. The disaster preparedness event will be held from 9 to 2 in the Tractor Supply parking lot in Yucca Valley.
