The simulator, can give you real-life experience of what a 7.5 earthquake feels like. The Mercy Air helicopter is also scheduled to be at the event. There will be free information and live demonstrations from the Community Emergency Response Team, Southern California Edison, the county fire department, and the Sheriff’s Department, and others, on public safety. Some of the topics that will be covered are basic first aid, resources and deployment, water purification and storage, animal care, disaster supplies and kits, survival skills, and food storage and solar cooking. The event will be held in the Tractor Supply parking lot in Yucca Valley from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
