Free disposal of accumulated trash, e-waste, and tires takes place Saturday, March 23, at the Wonder Valley Community Center on Amboy Road in Wonder Valley. Residents can sort items into designated containers beginning at 8 a.m. and concluding at noon or when capacity is reached. All loads must be safely secured and properly covered; oversized, loose, or hard-to-handle loads may be turned away. Tires may include rims but a limit of nine tires per load will be enforced. Commercial, industrial, and hazardous waste cannot be accepted; this includes motor oil and filters, antifreeze, gasoline, drain cleaners, pesticides, fertilizers, fluorescent lights, wood preservatives, pool supplies, auto and furniture polish, paint products, and solvents.

Free Household Hazardous Waste Disposal:
Safely dispose of toxic chemicals from your home on the third Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hazardous Household Waste Disposal Collection, 62499 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree. For more information call 800-645-9228.
