Co-produced by Kevin Bones, The Palms is hosting a weekend-long comedy festival that kicks off Friday (May 23) from 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and runs through Saturday (May 24), starting at 12:00 noon and ending until around midnight, or until someone has poked an eye out or nobody is funny anymore.
Comedy Campout features a buffet of comedic genres, including stand-up, film, improv, drag, storytelling, and sketch. Featured artists include Lauren Wolpert, Lady Chilane & Friends, Jill Young, the Laughing Bones sketch group, improv with the Rotating Players, and a screening of a locally-made psychedelic comedy film “Astral Plan Drifter.”
Each show is individually ticketed, and tickets are available at the door. Rugged types should note there will be free BLM camping available next to the venue.
