COLTON MAN ACCUSED OF VANDALIZING TWENTYNINE PALMS HOTEL ROOM

A Colton man was arrested Friday, accused of vandalizing a hotel room in Twentynine Palms. About 6:30 p.m., a hotel employee called deputies to report that a man who was suspected of stealing the hotel’s master key earlier in the morning was back. Deputies went to the suspect’s room and noticed the door and been broken. Inside the room was Rodolfo Gutierrez, 30, along with drugs, check books, and driver’s licenses. After an investigation, Rodolfo Gutierrez was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and illegal entry, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and released.
