Collision on I-10 results in two injuries, brush fire

An automobile collision on the Interstate 10 exchange with Highway 62 left two injured and blocked access to Highway 62.

As reported by KESQ, at approximately 9 a.m. yesterday (June 21), two people were injured in the collision, which started a small brush fire on the side of the highway.

The two injured people, whose identities are not known at this time, were transported to local trauma centers and listed in critical condition.

The brush fire was extinguished by crews from Cal Fire, and the road was reopened by noon.
