COLLEGE BOARD TAKES UP LABOR NEGOTIATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS

The Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees is holding its regular meeting tomorrow afternoon. Labor negotiations will be held earlier in the day in a closed session. The outcome of those negotiations will be discussed in the open meeting along with other scheduled business. Here is Reporter Hilary Sloane with more information…

The monthly meeting of the Copper Mountain College Board of Directors will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the Copper Mountain College Community Room at the Bell Center, 6162 Rotary Way. The business covered will be the outcome of labor negotiations and tentative agreements on vacation, health, and welfare, and compensation and benefits, held in a closed session earlier in the day. Superintendent/President Darren Otten will report on the administration’s continued work to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak. The board will also discuss upcoming fundraising events, scholarship applications, and partnership opportunities. Copper Mountain College and the Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center are exploring ways of working together. Also, at the meeting, new employees will be introduced.
