Tomorrow’s meeting of the Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees will be a busy one. Along with the normal duties of approving course revisions and deactivations, the board will be asked to approve the resignation of retiring Superintendent/ President Jeff Cummings and approve a Resolution of Gratitude for Cummings’ years of service. There could be cake. The process includes the transition of Cummings’ authority to the incoming Superintendent/President Dr. Daren Otten, as well as the board’s approval of his contract. The meeting starts tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. and will be held in the community room of the Bell Center on the Copper Mountain College campus in Joshua Tree.
