There is one week left to register for Yucca Valley’s co-ed slow-pitch softball league. League play begins on April 7, and reporter Jef Harmatz has more details on you can get in the game.
The town of Yucca Valley’s Recreation Department invites you and your team to participate in an 11-week season of slow-pitch softball. Players must be 18 years old or over, though each team can have two minor-age players 16 and over. Each team can have a maximum of 16 players on their roster, and full teams are welcome to apply, with a $400 league fee per team. Individuals can register as a “free agent” and will be placed on a team at no cost. The first-place team receives a League Champion trophy and player gifts; a second-place trophy is awarded to the runner-up. Space is limited to six teams, and registration runs through March 21, or until space is full. You can register to play online at yucca-valley.org or in person at the Yucca Valley Community Center, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. from Monday to Thursday.
