CMC Fighting Cacti Women’s Volleyball vs. SB Valley College

Copper Mountain College Women’s Volleyball team delivered a strong performance on Friday (September 27), against the No. 26 ranked San Bernardino Valley College in their first home match of the season. The Fighting Cacti battled through three sets, but losing 3-0.

The match marked a significant milestone for Copper Mountain’s young volleyball program, as they faced one of the toughest teams in the conference and continued to battle all night through. The high-energy game saw back-and-forth action, with both teams displaying their full potential in a great contest.

“We worked hard in practice, and we are growing each day” Coach Don Reyes said. “Each game, each practice is establishing the culture and fundamentals of what we are striving to be.”

Copper Mountain College is thrilled to have such a dedicated group of athletes representing the school. The dedicated student-athletes willingness to never give up underscores the growth of the program and sets high expectations for the rest of the season.

Fans can catch the Fighting Cacti in their next home match again next week as they prepare to take on Mt. San Jacinto College at the Bell Center on the campus of Copper Mountain College, Friday October 4th at 5pm.
