The last several years have seen nearly every elected body in Morongo Basin transition from at-large elections to district-based contests. From town councils to water districts, many made the move following costly lawsuits. Reporter Mike Lipsitz brings us this story on one of the last holdouts now making the move to district-based elections.
That holdout is the Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees and today (August 24, 2012) they will meet in a special 3 p.m. session and public hearing on the issue. Today’s meeting and public hearing will be virtual; follow the link below for instructions on how to participate.
