CMC BOARD MEETS TOMORROW IN REGULAR SESSION AND SPECIAL JOINT SESSION WITH MUSD

The Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees will meet in regular session tomorrow in the Community Room of the Bell Center, with closed session beginning at 2:00 and open session beginning in-person at 3:00 p.m. During the closed session, the board will conference with labor negotiators and discuss the evaluation of the Superintendent/President. During the open session, there will be a public hearing about redistricting, including a presentation about the proposed trustee area maps. The board will also honor the legacy of Owen and Audrey Gillick as part of the college’s twentieth anniversary celebration, in addition to voting on a resolution supporting Undocumented Student Action Week. After regular session adjourns, the Board will convene in joint session with the Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees at 5:00 p.m. to discuss updates for Project Phoenix, as well as enrollment trends for MUSD and CMC. The boards will also discuss enrollment trends for Career and Technical Education and dual enrollment programs.
