Closures on Yucca Mesa Road and Buena Vista Drive starting on Thursday (3/12)

An ongoing construction project will require the full closure of the intersection of Yucca Mesa Road and Buena Vista Drive this week.

The Town of Yucca Valley announced that the intersection will be fully closed to all traffic beginning Thursday (March 12) through Saturday (March 14). Town officials ask drivers to plan ahead and use Old Woman Springs Road as an alternate route and follow detour signs during the closure period. Oversized and wide-load vehicles should continue to follow the alternate truck route designated by Caltrans. Coordination with emergency services will be maintained throughout construction. Planned improvements include widening the intersection, upgrading the existing pavement from asphalt to reinforced concrete and adding new curb, gutter and roadway striping.
