A clarification about our story last week about a proposed new bill concerning local regulation of massage parlors, in which we said the city of Twentynine Palms was supportive of the new law. The City Council has not discussed or been briefed on the issue, and so has no official position on the law. Twentynine Palms’ Interim Community Development Director Matt McCleary said the City is supportive of things that involve the health, safety, and welfare of the community, but did not say the City was supportive of any proposed State law on this topic.
