Wondering what all the fuss is about in downtown Twentynine Palms? If so, you can find out at a Sept. 8 community meeting to discuss Project Phoenix, the ambitious multi-million-dollar plan to revitalize the city’s commercial corridor along Highway 62. The gathering will be an open forum for city residents to bring forth their ideas regarding how the project should proceed. It gets underway 5 p.m. at the Community Services Building, 74325 Joe Davis Drive.
