CITY OF TWENTYNINE PALMS PLANS A CAREFUL REOPENING

After weeks of being closed to the public due to the COVID-19 shutdown, Twentynine Palms City Hall is preparing to open in careful steps. Reporter Heather Clisby has the details…

Twentynine Palms’ City Hall on Adobe Road has been off-limits to the public for at least a month due to concerns around COVID-19. Now the city is looking to re-open their doors to residents with a few stipulations:

From May 26 to May 28, services at City Hall will be available to the public by appointment only. Starting June 1, walk-in traffic will be allowed at City Hall but only five people at a time.

City Hall will close from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. every day for lunch and visitor contact points will be cleaned during this time. Face masks are recommended, though not required, to enter.

Business licenses can still be handled in person at City Hall or by visiting the city’s website, 29palms.org. To make appointments and find out more info, call City Hall at 760-367-6799.
